WeChat released the 8.0.x update, but the instructions are the same as before: this update fixes some known issues. Let’s take a look at what features have been updated.
Hide stickied chats
If you have a lot of stickied Windows on the message page, when all the stickied Windows fill up a screen, the “Hide stickied chats ” button will appear in the bottom left corner.

When your mobile phone is in the state of lock screen or WeChat is running in the background, even if you mute the notifications of the group, WeChat will still tell the message sent by the people you follow through pop-up message.
Change Alert Sound and Ringtone for Incoming Calls
Click”Me”->”Settings”->”Message Notifications”, you can find the “Alert Sound” and “Ringtone for Incoming Calls” options.
There are 7 message tones for setting new alert sound.
For setup Ringtone for Incoming Calls, you can choose the music in the QQ music library or choose the BGM in the dynamic video, you can even search your favorite ring tones.
In addition, you can assign exclusive ringtones for your best friend.
In addition, on the message notifications page, we can switch the state of “friends can hear my ringtone when calling me”. After enabled this option the caller can hear the ringtone you are currently using when calling you.
Setup My Status
There is a new status feature in the menu “Me”. It built in a variety of official preset status label, you can also choose other unknown status, after the selection you can edit a mood text, with pictures, videos, or even position.
